Jeff Serdins, a.k.a. "JT" (guitar) -
Can you say "Oh My God!!" That is the most common phrase spoken after witnessing his blistering fretwork.
Jeff is a "guitar hero" in the waiting. From his early start at the age of four, Jeff was gifted with perfect
pitch.
By the time he was nine, Jeff was note-for-noting Carlos Santana, Page, Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, and his brother Mike. He was also gigging in bands at nine years old. Yeah, there is a picture of Jeff at the age of seven playing at a sixth grade dance with big brother Mike's band. Mike remembers, "I knew I was creating a monster, but I never imagined that he would turn into Guitar Zilla!" Jeff studied the guitar intensely, buying album after album of guitar greats. He memorized them all. His perfect pitch made the music come easy. As Jeff grew into his teens, Van Halen, Rhoads, Vai, Malmsteen, and Lynch emerged as his guitar influences. Winning the high school battle of the bands was easy for someone who formed a Van Halen tribute band called DESTINY. Jeff knew every Van Halen song and solo note for note. He even took VH's finger tapping to new heights. Imagine the roots of Carlos Santana, Hendrix, and Page molded into the ferocious guitar work of Van Halen, Steve Vai, and George Lynch. But wait the picture does not stop here. Jeff, so committed to pursuing music, learned as much about theory, songwriting, and arranging as he could while preparing himself to enroll at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Jeff was accepted and moved to Boston in 1986. He was given the honor of performing in Mike Ihdes' famous "Guitar Septet" for two consecutive years. Jeff was one of only five guitarists picked from over 1000 of Berklee's top guitar slingers. Berklee exposed Jeff to so much. But mostly to the fact that everyone around him was picking as fast as they can, tapping, whammy bars, technique, technique and more technique. No one was making music while they were soloing. He hung up the shred for the heart and soul of blues and jazz. Berklee turned Jeff into one of the most sought after touring and session guitarists on the east coast. He has performed with numerous international acts while touring the music scene. He has emerged as the guy who can get the job done! He can play any style and fits most any situation like a glove. For those of you who are familiar with the NY/NJ original music scene, Jeff played with Dymond Sky, Crash Street, Bad Influence, Sir Real, and Mojohand. Jeff has also played and recorded with many top international artists and numerous studio & live sessions. Jeff is an excellent clinician and travels quite a bit for the companies that he endorses. Jeff will be seen in a series magazine advertisements for Warrior Instruments and will also be doing guitar clinics and special guest appearances at both the winter and summer NAMM shows. He can captivate even an audience of guitarists. Jeff is always a crowd favorite at the NAMM Shows. Check this site often to find out when Jeff will be giving his next seminar. This is something you do NOT want to miss! Also look for upcoming special appearances and performances by Jeff and the rest of his band at a music store or guitar show near you. Jeff gives thanks and praise to God for his talent, and with each note strives to bring himself closer to the Lord. He named his Warrior Signature Guitar after his favorite Psalm. Psalm 92:4 states that we will triumph in the works of the Lords hands. Jeff is also very particular and proud of his equipment. For a complete listing of his gear, go to Jeff's Machines. His high-tech refrigerator sized rack, and road cases of amps create his trademark "Brick Wall of Sound". You must see it to believe it! If you like good guitar work, Jeff's playing is guitar at its most intense. He can make you cry with his feel, give you goose bumps with his phrasing, mezmerize you with his technical ability, and knock you into the back row with volume. Jeff has been featured in Guitar Player, Guitar World, Christian Musician Magazine, Berklee Today, East Coast Rocker, Metal Edge, and Hit Parader. Be sure to witness what everyone is raving about! Jeff is a players player. The music of today lacks truly good guitar. Jeff is guitar at its best! Be sure to check out Jeff's new Band G - Factor, featuring Jeff on guitar and vocals. Jeff has released his latest CD "Forces Of Light II" which has two sides. Side A is his new material with vocals, and side B is an instrumental version of the same songs. |
