For those of you unfamiliar with magical lingo. The Mojohand is an ancient blues charm that give true bluesmen their special musical prowess. The Bluesmen in this instance are Jeff Serdins on guitar, Steve Mikes on guitar, Mick Serdins on Bass, Charles Calello on vocals, and KC Tyler on drums. They took the stage at 9:00 with a ton of energy and endurance. Imagine the pink energizer bunny on speed.

Jeff cites that "the only "mojo" in our band is the gift from the Holy Spirit". Jeff gives all credit to his abilities to his faith in Jesus Christ. "The name Mojohand is just that... a name".

With their mix of old rock standards and their own original tunes, the set read like a who's who of guitar legends. Calling upon the music of greats such as: Hendrix, Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Jimmy Page. This five piece pleasantly surprised the crowd with the choices for the evening. Their renditions of the old faves was admirable, but it was their original music which captured the attention of me and the audience.

Mojohands blend of soulful lyrics and catchy melodies had everyone grooving by nights end. Lead Guitarist Jeff Serdins is unbelievable! His ability to play all styles and his mind blowing technique seem effortless while he plays his instrument. The ability for Jeff to paint his picture was due to his tight rythem section. You can tell that they too get entertained by Jeff as he plays.

WDHA's Leigh Espinoza was on hand acting as both MC and Vanna Wanna Be presenting many winners with prizes during the staggering four set performance.
